Overview
Rhode Island Energy, a PPL Services company, is looking for a Stock Material Clerk to join our Supply Chain Team.
Responsibilities
Receive, check accuracy of quantities and visually inspect material
Stock shelves, order materials and issue stock used in Company operation
Manufacture assemblies
Cut and thread pipe
Conduct cycle counts on inventory and enter into computer software application
Use Computer systems (SAP, Lawson, bar code scanners and Microsoft Outlook)
Unload and load vehicles
Package material to be shipped by truck or mailed
Check for accuracy of account numbers and items description on material orders
Obtain operator certification for forklift
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED
Possess a valid driver’s license
Ability to read and write legibly
Possess physical ability to handle all stock items
Possess mechanical ability and aptitude to perform all requirement of the job
Ability to properly follow instructions to use various equipment (i.e. forklift, pipe threading machine, computer, bar code scanner, copy equipment, fax machine)
DOT drug screening is required for this position
