Overview

The Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the execution of enterprise-wide strategies and practices to advance PPL’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) goals. The DEI coordinator will support the Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion management team, DEI councils and committees and PPL’s Business Resource Groups (BRGs) by gathering, analyzing, and preparing DEI internal and external data; responding to requests for DEI information from clients and organizations; coordinating survey submissions; and assisting with diverse talent recruitment, internal and external communications, and relationships to promote DEI programs and objectives.

This position can be located in Kentucky, Rhode Island, or Pennsylvania and is a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Executes on PPL’s short-term and long-term strategies to enhance employee diversity and engagement.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to coordinate programming that promotes diversity, inclusion, and engagement (e.g. onboarding, training, BRG conference and BRG events)

  • Compiles, organizes, and analyzes data for DEI updates and reports.

  • Serve as liaison in coordinating with educational institutions, such as high schools, colleges, and universities, to engage in programs and initiatives aimed at developing and attracting future talent.

  • Support Business Resource Groups with their meetings, events, and initiatives by providing administrative support and coordination of activities.

  • Assist in the development of meeting materials, presentations, and communications for DEI meetings.

  • Coordinate key DEI meetings, taking notes, contributing to the ideation processes and work with DEI team to ensure appropriate follow through of relevant action items.

  • Schedule and assist the DEI team in executing recruitment events, DEI workshops and trainings.

  • Researches and identifies diversity best practices and benchmarks as input to designing and implementing initiatives.

  • Performs related duties & responsibilities as assigned/requested.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of HR, DEI, or related work experience, or and equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience

  • Experience leading change initiatives

  • Experience with data analysis (i.e., qualitative, and quantitative analysis

  • Experience working in a highly collaborative team environment

  • Willingness to travel

  • Experience with DEI best practices and demonstrated cultural/identity adeptness

  • Demonstrated knowledge of process improvement techniques and methodologies

  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written

  • Ability to build solid relationships and partnerships internally and externally

  • Strong organizational and process management skills; Comfort managing multiple workstreams and prioritizing within a fast-paced, dynamic, high-growth environment

  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, database, etc.

Remote Work
