Overview

Position will report in person on a hybrid schedule and can be located at PPL's Corporate offices located in either Allentown, PA or Louisville, KY or Providence, RI.

Under general supervision, administers one or more benefit programs. Consults with and advises employees on eligibility for insurance; hospitalization; and other benefits; amounts of coverage; and claims procedures. Maintains benefit records and prepares documents necessary for implementing benefit coverage.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains confidential Company and employee information related to benefits programs and plans.

  • Provides administrative support to include annual enrollment, welfare plan administration, retirement and savings plan administration, tuition reimbursement.

  • Administers benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, tuition, flexible spending accounts, Health Savings Account, dependent eligibility, long-term disability, COBRA and direct bill.

  • Maintains benefit enrollments which includes monitoring of enrollment with the outsourced Benefit Administrator to ensure accuracy.

  • Coordinates with third-party administrator on retiree medical and life programs.

  • Responsible for payments to benefit plan vendors and consultants.

  • Timely update and maintenance of the Benefit Cost Report.

  • Works with benefit plan vendors as needed to resolve employee or retiree benefit issues.

  • Provides daily telephone and email customer service to employees and retirees for claim problems, Direct Benefits Bill questions, and other insurance related issues and questions.

  • Maintains active, terminated and retiree files.

  • Orders supplies, distributes mail and coordinates off-site storage.

  • All other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Associates degree in HR, business, or related field plus two years of demonstrated administrative support or customer service experience, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience on a year-for-year basis, is required.

  • Successful candidates must possess excellent interpersonal and written skills to include accurate grammar and spelling proficiency.

  • Demonstrated PC proficiency with a working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Formal administrative/business education beyond high school preferred.

  • Three years demonstrated administrative work experience in a Benefits department or Human Resources capacity preferred.

  • Excellent administrative skills and demonstrated proficiency in dealing with details.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information, work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to a variety of situations.

  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and written skills. Excellent multi-tasking, organizational and prioritization skills, including accuracy with routine tasks.

Remote Work
